    Hi, John. Great tip! I just switched to Golden Gate mandolin picks for just the reason you explained. These are terrific…the size and general shape of Fender 346 triangular picks, but with rounded points like the shoulders on a 351 teardrop-shaped pick. At 1.5mm, they give a very smooth tone and last a looong time!

    Great lesson! Its important to learn how to feel each and every note in the way that they do (as well as where they play each note). Alot of tone comes from how you hold the pick (as you talked about), but also how you pick. I think how you pick is more important than most other factors.

      Unfortunately no. It takes a lot of time to make it a quality product. I’m currently learning and practicing his style and researching what I need to include so I can teach it the way it should be. Look for it around March of next year.
