Today I’m going to show you a Blues Guitar lick in the style of Eric Clapton, that can be used over the turnaround section of a 12 bar blues in the key of B.
This lick is similar to one Eric played on “Have You Ever Loved a Woman” from Live at the Fillmore. Eric uses some really cool bends and phrases that I’m sure he got from BB and Freddie King. His choice of notes is always tasty and full of emotion.

His renditions of “Have You Ever Loved a Woman” are simply amazing! They are all a little different and you can learn a lot from each version. In particular the EC Was Here version is really cool.

THIS is my favorite EC era, Derek and the Dominos. As a matter of fact I would really be excited if you were breaking down this lead for the next DVD. I also like Blues Power and Further On Up the Road because they are graet examples of call and response tunes and a nice change from slow blues numbers (which I love). Little Wing would also be interesting. Thanks for your outstanding work and I am really excited about this one! Tom
