I remember just messing around for years with guitar in the beginning, learning bits of songs and never having clear direction. Now my goal is to learn a few blues standards and lead them at the jams. Also learning Hendrix too and loving it. I'd have to add that not only is the TV a potential problem but the internet too. The internet is in ways worse, because it's information on demand and definitely eats up a lot of time. I keep written goals and don't own a TV :) It’s true!
